Contemporary, sophisticated and modern, Missy & Adam’s wedding day styling was a beautiful showcase of how you can create a seamless look with the perfect combination of carefully considered pieces.
With these two both being incredibly talented creatives, Missy, a gifted Hair Stylist within the wedding industry, and Adam, a brilliant Photographer in his own right, we knew this wedding was going to be spectacular!
We can guarantee you will be as obsessed with this fabulous couple and their oh-so-chic wedding day as we are! Come with us as we walk you through absolutely everything, from their venue choice, florals, furniture and décor pieces, even down to their dress code, so you can recreate pieces of their beautiful day for your own Byron Bay wedding!
Their overall aesthetic was created by combining a simple and striking palette of sharp, crisp white with black accents, touches of oak, dark toffee and silver. Layering in textures of acrylic, stone, linen and crystal to bring a touch of elegant softness to balance the look beautifully.
THE SUITS
Adam and his Groomsmen wore timeless black Tuxedos with crisp white shirts and classic, black bowties bringing a sense of formality and grandeur to the day whilst also maintaining an effortless cool.
The DRESSES
Missy’s dress by the fabulous Kyha Studios oozed contemporary sophistication with a full skirt of luminous Mikado with a distinctive front split and strapless, structured bodice with drape detail.
Her bridesmaids wore chocolate Bec & Bridge maxi dresses featuring a distinctive tuck detail that cinches the waist and creates a perfect feminine silhouette.
TRANSPORT
Missy travelled to the venue in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class from the fabulous team at Byron Luxury Tours. These vans are the perfect luxury option for Bridal Party transfers as they are air-conditioned (very important in the warmer months, you will thank us later), spacious and timeless!
THE VENUE
Tucked away in the hinterland of Byron Bay, Fig Tree Restaurant is one of the Byron Bay region’s most iconic venues. Sophisticated, modern, and manicured whilst also being rich in history, old-world charm, and elegance, Fig Tree was the perfect venue to suit Missy & Adam’s overall aesthetic, guest size and of course has the most incredible team of professionals to ensure everything is perfect on the day!
THE CEREMONY
Missy & Adam’s ceremony was set underneath a 150-year-old Moreton Bay fig, and featured a backdrop of rolling hills, Julian Rocks, and the Byron Bay lighthouse.
A combination of both Clear Acrylic and White Plinths framed Missy & Adam throughout the ceremony, adorned with unstructured floral arrangements of reflexed roses, hydrangea, orchids and delphinium in shades of creams and whites.
White Bentwood Chairs and long stem white roses sat on either side of the aisle and a modern white signing table with two White Bentwood Chairs and Missy’s bouquet of large, plump white reflexed roses with long natural stems and wrapped with white satin ribbon, sat on the table during the official signing with their gorgeous mums as their witnesses.
THE DRESS CODE
The dress code was all white, which Missy & Adam’s guests embraced wholeheartedly, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the day and creating the most incredible photos! A dress code which includes a specific colour really does create a spectacular consistency throughout all the photos and helps create a real synergy and inclusiveness within the group. We are big fans!
THE CHAMPAGNE TOWER
Following the ceremony and their first kiss as husband and wife, Missy & Adam descended the aisle and popped some Veuve Clicquot to seal the deal with a beautiful champagne tower and a toast with their nearest and dearest.

COCKTAIL HOUR
By the pool and under the grapevines, Missy & Adam’s loved ones enjoyed Margaritas, bubbles and delicious canapes by the Fig Tree Restaurant catering team whilst the newlyweds and their Bridal Party wandered through the Fig Tree grounds for their photoshoot in the olive grove and under the majestic fig.
Missy & Adam took full advantage of the beautiful pieces of included cocktail furniture at the venue, which luckily worked perfectly with their overall aesthetic. They then simply added a cushion package for the lounges, Edison Bulbs in a V-shape over the pool (by Byron Audio) and a white metal stand for their gorgeous linen welcome sign, created by the fabulous Signed by Shaun (who also designed their antique mirror signage for the ceremony). Last but certainly not least they added a fabulous installation of floating white balloons, from the incredible team at Bang Bang Balloons, over the pool as the finishing touch and focal point in the space.

THE RECEPTION
Continuing their classic, minimal aesthetic into their reception, Missy & Adam chose to utilise the lovely, included oak tables and added oak chairs, pearl muslin table runners, a combination of modern and crystal cut glassware, earthenware plates, silver ornate cutlery, chalk linen napkins and an abundance of candles to create their dreamy tablescape. Unassuming, white dome and oval pendants floated overhead to add some focused lighting over the tables and their ceremony plinths were brought inside and placed on either side of the arch mirror feature to help frame the cutting of the cake.
Two simple Oaklab stem vases sat on each dining table, filled with plump, single stem florals in shades of white with pops of cream and minimal foliage whilst a few loose limes were scattered on the tables to help bring some of the beautiful Fig Tree garden inside the restaurant space.
Signed by Shaun designed a unique, curved triangle-shaped menu that sat beautifully within the earthenware side plates, along with a special placecard for each guest with a personalised note from the couple to enjoy when they found their seat.
THE CAKE
The incredible cake by Hello Little Crumb sat atop the tallest of three White Round Textured Plinths along with a single candle in a glass vessel and a small floral arrangement. Missy & Adam cut the cake using a Silver Ornate Cake Knife.
THE WISHING WELL
The Small Black and Glass Box was utilised as Missy & Adam’s ‘wishing well’ and held all of their very special cards and notes left by their friends and family on their wedding day.
