It’s all in the detail.

There are so many ways to add bespoke touches to your wedding day styling and our team of experienced stylists have put together a few ideas for you . The first thing to remember is that the magic lies in the smaller details, so don’t forget to look beyond the bigger picture and add some thought to the finer touches.

Once you have chosen the theme of your wedding day you can get started on thinking about your personalities and tastes as a couple. This will determine the kind of mood you want to create for your special day.  It is also a good idea to be guided by the season your wedding will be held in be.

1. COLOUR SCHEME

Once you’ve decided on a theme, pick a colour scheme to suit. Choosing a colour scheme early on in the styling process will make things so much easier when it comes to choosing flowers, stationery and décor and of course your dress. The venue/location you chose will also reflect this too.  The colour choice will help create the vibe you’re going for. If you decide upon a wintery romantic wedding then lean towards more dark, dramatic tones. Soft pastels for springtime or classic neutrals for timeless elegance. Vibrant colours are very en trend at the moment and evoke a happy and joyful vibe to your day!

2. FLORALS

The best way to pick your florals is to think about the type of bloom that will compliment the theme and design you’re going for. If you’re going for a tropical style wedding, orchids and lots of lush green foliage is an excellent choice, whilst those seeking a more classic style might want to opt for roses or lilies. It’s also important to think about what’s going to be in season.

3. TABLE SETTING

As already mentioned in our previous blog “Styling Tips 101” - your table setting is the ideal place to add all the reception details and create impact. You want elements that bring both height and texture – such as linen napkins, taper candles, cascading floral arrangements, ceramic vessels , personalised stationery, crystals.... – as well as depth with gathered fruits and bespoke treasures.

4. Stationery & sIGNAGE

If you want to add some personal flavour of your own, then consider some fun statement signage by a meaningful quote, a cheeky slogan or some of your own words for a personalised touch. Consider incorporating little accessories to really make the wedding a reflection of yourselves as a couple.  These little quirks identify you as a couple, making you who you are. This side to things can make your wedding so much more personal.  Recently signs have been seriously making a statement and have become the ultimate element in wedding décor to add a little cheeky slogan or punchy message. They also add a  contemporary edge to your wedding styling.

5. BACKDROPS AND CEILING INSTALLATIONS

Why not create some impact and consider a bold, eye-catching backdrop or a hanging installation. They draw the eye as soon as you enter the room.   They can convey whatever style and vibe you’re going for, and they are an excellent way to bring the room together, acting as the main feature. Backdrops are great to dress up a bare room, add a pop of colour to a blank canvas, they frame your bridal table or simply create a fun backdrop for all your photos.
